Evidence Bundle Translation Services in the UK — Certified & Page-Matched
A bundle is not a pile of documents. It is an indexed, paginated instrument, and every skeleton argument, witness statement and chronology in the case points at its page numbers. We translate the foreign-language parts so they drop back in without breaking a single one of those references.

Send the index if you have one. It is the fastest way to a firm price.
Who We Translate Evidence Bundles For
Bundle work arrives late and it arrives urgent, because the foreign-language problem is usually spotted while somebody is paginating. These are the teams that call us at that moment.
Solicitors & Paralegals Building the Bundle
The person with the index open, counting pages and realising tabs D and F are in Russian. You get a page-matched set back, not a folder of loose files.
Barristers & Clerks
Counsel whose skeleton already cites [C/212] and cannot have those references move. The translated pages carry the same numbers.
Family Law Teams
Bundles prepared under the Family Court’s page limits, where every added page has to be justified. Works alongside our Family Court translation service.
Commercial Litigation Teams
Trial bundles built out of a wider disclosure exercise, usually following on from litigation document translation earlier in the matter.
Employment Tribunal Representatives
Joint bundles where contracts, grievance notes and messaging exports arrive in a second language and both sides need the same pagination.
Immigration Appeal Representatives
Appeal bundles carrying country evidence, medical reports and statements, prepared to the standards covered on our Immigration Tribunal page.
Overseas Parties & Witnesses
People who have to follow proceedings in a language they do not read, and need a bilingual bundle rather than a translation delivered separately.
Arbitration & Inquest Teams
Hearing bundles for arbitral tribunals and coroners’ courts, where the bundle is often the only record everyone works from.
Everything in the Bundle, Including the Parts People Forget
The exhibits are the easy part. What catches teams out is the index, the tab dividers, the stamp on the corner of an exhibit and the two lines somebody wrote in the margin in 2019.
Sealed orders sitting behind tab B often need their own certification for use abroad — that is covered on our court order translation page.
Evidence Bundle Translation — Before & After Examples
Three things that decide whether a translated bundle works in a hearing: the index entry, the exhibit marking, and whatever somebody scribbled in the margin. None of them are the body text.
Zał. C7 — Umowa najmu lokalu z dnia 14 lutego 2021 r. (str. 212–219)
Tab C7 — Lease agreement for the premises dated 14 February 2021 (pages 212–219)
Приложение «ЖС1» к свидетельским показаниям Ж. Смирновой от 3 октября 2023 г. — выписка по счёту № 40817810099910004312.
Exhibit ‘ZS1’ to the witness statement of Z. Smirnova dated 3 October 2023 — statement for account no. 40817810099910004312.
بخط اليد على الهامش: «لا توقّع قبل مراجعة المحاسب — 12/5»
Handwritten in the margin: ‘Do not sign before the accountant has reviewed it — 12/5’
Extracts are illustrative and use anonymised wording. Account numbers, names and references shown are invented and taken from no real bundle.
Pagination Is the Whole Problem With Bundle Translation
Translating the documents is the straightforward half. Keeping the bundle usable afterwards is what separates a supplier who has done this from one who has translated a lot of contracts. Six things have to hold.
Page numbers cannot move
Russian runs longer than English; Arabic often runs shorter. Left alone, a translated document changes its page count and every later page in the bundle shifts. We set the translation to the same page count as the source, so the pagination holds.
The index has to still be true
If tab C7 says pages 212 to 219, the translated C7 has to be pages 212 to 219. We work from your index rather than from a folder of files, and hand it back with the entries translated and the references intact.
Cross-references in the rest of the case
Skeleton arguments, chronologies and witness statements all point into the bundle. A page reference that no longer lands is worse than an untranslated page, because nobody notices until counsel is on their feet.
Late documents and letter-suffix inserts
Documents arrive after pagination is finished and get inserted as 212A, 212B and so on. We match that convention rather than renumbering, and add the new entries to the index in the right place.
Redactions stay redacted
Redacted material is not translated, not inferred, and not worked around. The redaction is reproduced in position, and if a redaction has removed something a sentence depends on, we tell you instead of filling the gap.
Stamps, seals and manuscript notes
Exhibit stamps, court seals, date stamps, initials and handwritten annotations are all content. They are translated or described in place and labelled, not treated as background noise on the scan.
Four Ways We Can Deliver a Translated Bundle
Which one you need depends on who is reading it. A judge working from your existing pagination needs something quite different from a witness who has to follow along in Romanian.
Page-matched insert set
Translations built to the same page count as the source documents, ready to drop straight into your existing bundle without renumbering anything.
Bilingual facing-page bundle
Source on the left, English on the right, page for page. What you want when a witness or an overseas client has to follow the hearing in real time.
Fully translated standalone bundle
The whole bundle rebuilt in the target language with its own index, tabs and continuous pagination, for lodging with a foreign court or tribunal.
Searchable, bookmarked e-bundle
OCR’d, bookmarked PDF with the PDF page numbers matching the stamped bundle numbers, which is what court e-bundle guidance asks for.
How a Translated Bundle Gets Certified
There is more than one right answer here, and the choice matters if a document is later pulled out of the bundle and used on its own. We ask before we start rather than assuming.
A certificate for the whole bundle
One signed statement covering every translated document in the bundle, listed by tab and page range. Usually the cleanest option where the bundle is filed as a single instrument.
A certificate per document
Separate certificates behind each translated exhibit, which some courts and most foreign authorities prefer, and which survives documents being extracted from the bundle later.
Translator’s statement or affidavit
Where the accuracy of a translated exhibit may be challenged, the translator’s statement can be sworn before a solicitor or notary to support its evidential weight.
General information about bundle preparation, not legal advice. Bundle format, page limits and lodging deadlines are set by the court and the directions in your case, and should be confirmed by the solicitor conducting the matter.
Bundle Translation in 100+ Languages
Bundles are rarely monolingual. A single trial bundle can carry Russian bank records, an Arabic contract and a Polish employment file, and the English has to read as though one person wrote all of it.
We cover more than 100 languages with legal-qualified linguists, and run mixed-language bundles under one glossary so that terminology does not drift between tabs.
Bundle lodging this week? Send the index now.
We can quote from the index alone and start on the tabs you already have while the rest is still being paginated. Call with the lodging date and we will build the schedule around it.
A Bundle Is the Most Sensitive File in the Case
It gathers, in one document, everything the parties have been ordered to put before the court: medical records, bank statements, children’s names, home addresses. Handling has to start from that, not arrive at it.
Why UK Legal Teams Send Us Their Bundles
Six things clients say make the difference on bundle work specifically. Everything here is about what happens to the bundle after the translation is done.
We work from your index, not a folder
Give us the index and we quote against tabs and page ranges. It removes the guesswork that makes bundle quotes wrong, and it means the delivery maps to what you already have.
Page-matched output as standard
Same page count, same references, no renumbering. It is not an add-on we charge for; it is the only way bundle translation is worth having.
One project manager for the whole bundle
Bundles change. Tabs get added, a witness statement is replaced, the hearing moves. One person tracks all of it rather than three people each holding a piece.
Independent second-linguist revision
Every certified page is revised by a different qualified linguist, with figures, dates and exhibit references checked against the source.
One glossary across every tab
Mixed-language bundles run under a single agreed glossary, so a term in tab C and the same term in tab F do not arrive in English as two different things.
Deadline cover that is planned, not promised
Evening and weekend capacity agreed in advance for bundles with a fixed lodging date, and an early, honest answer when the volume will not fit.
How a Bundle Translation Runs, Step by Step
Step two is where the money is saved. Most bundles contain fewer foreign-language pages than the page count suggests, and scoping by tab is how you find that out before paying for the whole thing.
Send the index
The index alone is usually enough for a firm quote. It tells us the tab structure, the page ranges and roughly how much of the bundle is not in English.
Scope by tab, not by guesswork
We mark which tabs need translating, which are already in English, and which are duplicates. On most bundles this alone takes a meaningful amount off the quote.
Fixed quote and format decision
Price, schedule, certification route and delivery format — page-matched inserts, bilingual layout or a full rebuild — agreed before anything starts.
Translation under one glossary
Legal-qualified linguists work tab by tab against a shared glossary, with page counts controlled from the outset so nothing overruns its allotted pages.
Independent revision and pagination check
A second linguist revises the text. Then the whole set is checked back against your index: tab by tab, page range by page range, exhibit reference by exhibit reference.
Certification and delivery before lodging
Certificates attached, e-bundle OCR’d and bookmarked if required, delivered in time to be lodged rather than in time to be panicked over.
Evidence Bundle Translation Cost in the UK
The honest answer on bundles is that the page count on the front is rarely the number you pay for. We scope by tab first, and the quote reflects the foreign-language pages only.

Bundle Build
Layout, index and e-bundle work
Rates are per standard page of 250 words. Duplicate pages within a bundle are identified and charged once. Volume rates apply above 500 translatable pages, and we will say so rather than waiting to be asked.
Evidence Bundle Translation Case Studies
Parties and matters are held back. The page counts, the tab structures and the deadlines are not.
Mixed-Language Trial Bundle — High Court
An 1,100-page bundle in which four tabs were Russian and two were Polish. Scoping by tab reduced the translatable count to under 300 pages, all of which had to hold their existing pagination.
Bilingual Bundle — Employment Tribunal
A joint bundle where the claimant needed to follow proceedings in Romanian. Facing-page layout was built so both sides worked from identical page numbers throughout the hearing.
Late Insert Set — Family Proceedings
Further evidence landed after the bundle was paginated and had to be added as letter-suffix pages, with matching entries inserted into an index that was already filed.
Evidence Bundle Translation Reviews From UK Clients
Feedback from the solicitors, paralegals and counsel who actually have to lodge the thing.
"They quoted from the index and came back saying only 280 of the 1,100 pages actually needed translating. That conversation alone paid for itself."
"Page-matched means what it says here. I did not have to touch a single reference in the skeleton, which has not been my experience elsewhere."
"The bilingual bundle let our client follow the hearing properly for the first time. Same page numbers on both sides, which mattered more than I expected."
"Handwritten notes in the margins were picked up and flagged rather than skipped. Two of them turned out to matter."
"Late inserts went in as 212A onwards without anything being renumbered, and the index came back updated. That is the whole job done properly."
"The e-bundle came back OCR'd with the PDF page numbers matching the stamped numbers. Small thing, saves an hour every single hearing."

From Directions to Lodging — Where Translation Fits
Bundle translation gets dramatically more expensive the later it is commissioned, and the reason is pagination. Here is where each stage sits and what it costs you to arrive late.
Directions and the bundle order
The court sets who prepares the bundle, what goes in and when it is lodged. That is the point to flag any foreign-language material, not the week before.
Collating and agreeing contents
While the index is being agreed, tabs can be scoped for translation. Doing it here is far cheaper than doing it after pagination is fixed.
Pagination
Once numbers are stamped, everything downstream depends on them. From this moment translation has to be page-matched rather than merely accurate.
Skeletons and cross-references
Counsel starts citing into the bundle. Any translation delivered after this cannot move a page without creating work for somebody else.
Lodging and the hearing
The bundle goes in, and the translated pages either sit where the index says they do, or they do not. There is no third outcome.

The questions we are asked most on bundle work. If yours is not here, send the index and ask — most bundle questions are answered faster by looking at it than by describing it.
Send the Index. We Will Tell You What It Actually Costs.
Most bundles need far less translating than the page count suggests. Send the index and the lodging date and you will have a fixed price, scoped tab by tab, usually within the hour.
UK Court Translations is a language services provider, not a firm of solicitors. Nothing on this page is legal advice, and bundle requirements should be confirmed against the directions in your case.
